The game almost got unnecessarily interesting towards the end, but the Heat got the job done.

Bam was Bam. Jimmy was more engaged tonight than at any other point this season.

Kyle had foul trouble and contributed very little otherwise.

Duncan continues to show versatility on offense.

Highsmith - he’s been contributing with the intangibles for the most part this season - tonight was one of his first games where his contributions went beyond that. As a lifelong Heat fan, I appreciate the intangibles as much as anyone - but I have always said, if he is going to start/play starter minutes - the team needs more from him beyond the intangibles - especially with Tyler out. Today was a good first step. Now he needs to build on this. Still, he has a lot of work to do as I still think there will be matchups - especially as the season goes along - where he may end up being a liability on both ends of the court.

As for the bench, most of the contributions came from Jaime and Richardson but there was enough offensive balance to get the win tonight.

Thankfully, the Heat shot it well from the FT line to offset another night of shooting an excessive amount of 3s despite them not falling at even a half decent rate.

The paint points and low turnover number was crucial tonight.

Time to prepare for Thursday night.
