Since the world is getting access to buy the steam deck OLED at the same time 16th November 6pm UK, 10am US (not sure about everywhere else) how difficult is it going to be to get one? Will the site crash? Is everyone going for the 512gb? Or the 1TB with etched glass? Or limited edition? (American’s and Canadian’s).
Does really loading the Steam balance actually help? If one is granted to a purchase slot, the payment process should not be an issue, not sure how that works tbh. Can one get a refund of the steam balance in case you can’t get one SD?

No, you cannot get refund from Steam balance, this is why I am not going for this method, just in case.
I’m going back and forth but leaning towards the 1TB. I have my Steam Wallet loaded up, so hopefully that’ll help me get through quickly (though that wasn’t the reason I did it that way, mainly just because I was able to get Steam Wallet cards for 8% off, which is about a £45 saving on the 1TB!)
Havent bought anything on steam for a while. Im planning on buying steamdeck tomorrow but do i need my wallet loaded or having a valid payment form js enough? Asking for a friend.
I managed to get the base 64gb LCD for dirt cheap. I don’t really feel I need to spend extra on an OLED. I will try using other displays though.
