Switch Oled so you have access to both systems.
It takes two is great fun if you like platforming and puzzles. Played it twice now and it’s great for casual play.
And my point is the difference of 5fps creates a much bigger change visually than expected. It’s more but only 5fps more. 45fps is a minimum for smooth gameplay, not 40 imo.
This is true, I don’t doubt it’s harder to get a locked out mostly locked 45fps compared to 40. But 45 looks much better with only a relatively minor increase in FPS.
I’ve just been playing Black Mesa at 45Hz on the deck, I’m surprised at how smooth it is. Like the movements of the gun when still look really good. I see a difference when put to 60Hz though. But it’s something you can live without.
You missed my point, 45fps is the minimum where imo games start feeling smooth like 60fps. I guess it is subjective but that’s what I’ve noticed. Obviously 60 is better than 45 but if you need to save battery then 45 is a decent replacement, save those 15fps which is significant.
You won’t understand the game unless you play the first 39,999 games first. Come back in 300 years, you filthy casual.
Portal 2, with the steam workshop on PC it’s never over. Quite satisfying to find solutions after spending a while on a map.
Fallout New Vegas modded to oblivion.
I played the Dawnguard DLC and I never realised it was a DLC until I had finished it.
You can, but you’ll only get 1,000,000,000,000fps. Sorry but it’s all you’ll get.
The waiter seems like the most secure, and doesn’t touch the screen.
AC Valhalla, that was a long ass ride
Depends on what you are looking for. LCD ones are selling dirt cheap in some places. I personally went with the base 64gb LCD model as I got a good deal on it.
The battery only really matters if you play for long sessions and can’t charge it. For me, I play on one hour bursts normally. So I can get about two or three in before charging. I have a power bank so even if I’m traveling it should be good.
I managed to get the base 64gb LCD for dirt cheap. I don’t really feel I need to spend extra on an OLED. I will try using other displays though.
Counter Strike 2. I can get 60fps on my crappy laptop with Intel UHD 620 graphics, albeit at less than 1080p.
I don’t own either versions and I would be happy with either one. I like that both options are available, there’s a cheaper version and improved version. My friend who owns an OG Deck (obviously) doesn’t want to upgrade, he is happy with it.
I wish people could just be grateful for what they have. Just because there’s an objectively improved version doesn’t mean the OG Deck is worthless.
I don’t own a Steam Deck but I would be perfectly happy with the original model, it’s still decent. It will come down in price now, which is great.
I’ve never owned a gaming pc, I’ve always just tried to run games on my regular laptop. Steam deck introduces me to PC gaming.
