The pick owed is not looking too bad at the moment. The Warriors are currently sitting at the 15th pick with a 6-6 record, Curry injured and possible suspensions.

I’ve thought about this, too. What if they miss the playoffs? I mean, it’s protected 1-4, so we could theoretically have 2 lotto picks. I could see Edwards, Matas, or Holland falling. There are so many big wings somebody has to slide. Give me Sarr and whoever falls.

    Something like:

    Scoot

    Sharpe

    Matas

    Sarr

    Ayton

Your scenario is fun, I’d love to have both Matas and Sarr, they’re my clear cut #1 and #2 in the draft.

But hoping for the Warriors pick to go that high is a little too optimistic. I’d even be happy with the Warriors squeaking into the playoffs leaving us with #15.

Scoot + Shae + Buzelis + Klintman + DA would also be really fun. I’m very high on Klintman right now. He looks like he could be just as good as JSJ right away, but he should be available in the mid teen to early 20s.

The OKC situation is something every team should be keeping an eye on.

They owe the most favorable of OKC, HOU (5-30), LAC, and UTA (11-30) to IND, but they aren’t going to have room for 3 FRP’s and HOU’s 2RP. So depending on where the GSW pick ends up (and if the ATL 2RP conveys / where the CHA/MIN 2RP ends up), maybe POR and OKC could do some business???

Like, if POR and OKC were to put all the “lesser of” 2024 picks on the table, and both move up. Or, consolidate some things so OKC gets a higher couple of FRP’s, and POR can add three (instead of 2 FRP’s and 1-2 2RP’s), etc.
