Here is the list of my most top 10 wanted games ready to play on my SD card:
- Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy (PS2)
- Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (N64)
- Time Splitters; Future Perfect (PS2)
- Pokemon Platinum (NDS)
- Tony Hawks Underground (PS2)
- Jet Set Radio Future (Xbox)
- Silent Hill (PSX)
- Brute Force (Xbox)
- Crimson Skies (Xbox)
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (PSX)
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker / Crisis Core / Dissidia DuoDecim are all games that feel tailor made for the steam deck. Perfect portable bite sized games that you can play for a few minutes or for a few hours!
Conker’s Bad Fur Day is the only one i could muscle through…
New Super Mario Bros. U + Luigi U (cemu)
Super Mario 3D World (cemu)
Metroid Prime Remastered (yuzu)
Super Mario World (snes)
Earthworm Jim (genesis)
Zelda: Windwaker Remastered (cemu)
Super Mario 64 (n64)
Super Metroid (snes)
Katamari Damacy (ps2)
Mario Odyssey (yuzu)
no particular order, yes I like Mario.
Need for speed any of them for ps2
Both Mario Galaxys
For Jak 1/2 I’d recommend OpenGOAL over emulation
Need 4 Speed Underground 2, Underground 1, SSX 3, Midnight Club Dub Edition.
Pokémon Pinball (GBC) is always a must. Anything else is a bonus.
This is the third time I’ve reimagined my steam deck 🤣.
I don’t want to run emulators anymore, but 3DS, PS2 and GAMECUBE games run amazing.
Why would you emulate Tony Hawk’s Underground when there is a native pc version?
Pokemon unbound is top tier if you’re cool with fan games.
Einhander and Intelligent Qube using DuckStation
I’m ordering my Deck tomorrow and I’m hoping to get these games.
- Megaman 64
- Bomberman 64
- Dino Crisis 2
- Timesplitters 2 I think? Played it on the Wii but I think it was a GameCube game.
- Tony Hawk Underground 1+2 and American Wasteland
- Pokémon Emerald
- Super Mario Oddysy
- Mario Galaxy games
- Mario Sunshine
- I’m sure there will be more but that’s just what I could think of.
I got the 500gb SD card and honestly it basically holds all the SNES games, all the N64 games, most of the MUST haves for GC, all the GBA games, and my favorite og xbox games and ps2 games.
It’s nice retro gaming requires such little space and theres still 2-300 gb left on the sd for steam games.
For Jak and Daxter, you can have it run natively on the Steam Deck. https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeck/comments/vgni7w/jak_and_daxter_precursor_legacy_on_steam_deck_a/
