Look, it’s pretty simple. Playing against Riven isn’t a fair matchup, she can do all of your HP in pretty much an instant thanks to her combo. It isn’t funny playing against her and no one wants her to be meta, who likes a champion that can have 10hp but as long as all her abilities are up she can still oneshot kill you?
K’Sante got his kit adjusted because of the same issue: when he would ult you, you would get oneshot while being perma CC’d. This is the same thing that Riven does.
Why isn’t this being looked at?
I find it funny when you are chasing Riven players with 10hp and they go into a bush and then you just bait their R and never go into that bush again because they know that even with 10hp they can and will oneshot you.
This is the same that K’Sante would do, he would ult you with 10hp and kill you. Riven can do that too yet they are not doing anything about it. The main difference is the skill it takes to execute both combos but they do have the same level of counterplay: zero. Maybe the Riven players under a determined elo are too bad and can’t execute her combos correctly.
WE’RE entitled?
People are asking for a champ to have a key part of their skill expression removed so that they can play them without embarassing themselves instead of picking someone else or (god forbid) ask riot to make a similar but easier champion.
we’re talking people who didn’t pass the skill check btw. It’s not like it requires pay4win or grinding, nope. literally anyone can hop into practice tool, learn it in 10 mins and master it in 60(ish). But nope, she HAS to be dumbed down so that these people can play 165 instead of 164 champions.
But sure. We’re the entitled ones, not you demanding an extreme change just because you feel like “being good with riven” is a divine right you have.
Pros and high elo players don’t bash you because you disagree with them. they downvote you because your intent isn’t to balance the game or improve it. It’s to dumb down the game in your favor, regardless of how many people it screws over.
Your part of skill expression is a bug.
Imagine Xerath or Poppy mains crying because Riot removed being able to use their skills from base to damage every enemy globally as part of their “skill expression”.
