  • yeh i feel like rather than making a low elo assassin they made a “if you master this champ you master the assassin playstyle” champion.

Low elo players love big early damage with predictable abilities. Hers do very little early.

Low elo players love being impatient until punished for it. Meanwhile she’s all about patience and getting resources then obliterating the backline or catching a carry off guard.

I feel like low elo players would like lethality briar over naafiri, the whole kamikaze playstyle is more popular there anyway.

  • people who complain about mobility and think agressive dives and snowballing aren’t healthy for the game remind me of the kids that were scared of PE Dodgeball.

“nooo i don’t want to fight directly i want to sit back and relaaaax”

or “noo why do i lose half my hp in this hard trade? i just want to sit back farm minions and be unkillableee”.

like i’m an aphelios main, mobile champs and burst fucks me up. But i’m not fucking complaining am i? I could get out of my comfort zone and learn to deal with my weaknesses, why can’t they?

  • Okay but that doesn’t mean an outsider’s opinion carries the same weight as someone who knows their champ.

If i say vel’koz should have reduced range in exchange for more damage (let’s say i want his Q mechanic removed), why not hear azzapp out over me? I’ve barely played vel, just because i (and a large amount of non vel players) want to add him to my champ pool doesn’t mean he should be changed.

Tl;dr: mains aren’t experts of balance for their champ, but that doesn’t mean that someone who doesn’t main that champ knows better/tge same. It makes perfect sense that, if i’m a rioter who considers changing a key mechanic, i ask the playerbase of that champion before i ask someone who doesn’t.

  • WE’RE entitled?

People are asking for a champ to have a key part of their skill expression removed so that they can play them without embarassing themselves instead of picking someone else or (god forbid) ask riot to make a similar but easier champion.

we’re talking people who didn’t pass the skill check btw. It’s not like it requires pay4win or grinding, nope. literally anyone can hop into practice tool, learn it in 10 mins and master it in 60(ish). But nope, she HAS to be dumbed down so that these people can play 165 instead of 164 champions.

But sure. We’re the entitled ones, not you demanding an extreme change just because you feel like “being good with riven” is a divine right you have.

Pros and high elo players don’t bash you because you disagree with them. they downvote you because your intent isn’t to balance the game or improve it. It’s to dumb down the game in your favor, regardless of how many people it screws over.
