Not a Falcons fan so turning to this sub for insight. For those who are able to tune into games, is Heinicke a better QB than Ridder?
Heinicke is better at running the offense. Like the things you’d expect from an NFL QB. Leading thr offense…distributing the ball…making adjustments in the huddle and at the line of scrimmage. Ridder should technically be better at this because he has been in the system longer. But it’s actually his main problem and i think what will keel him from being more than a backup. He cannot run an NFL offense. The responsibility seems too much for him to handle and Arthur is already too involved in the offense. He has to be even more with ridder because he cannot run it from the line of scrimmage. Therefore can’t go tempo or things like that. Why you see thjngs like multiple delay of games etc. And the team in general responding better with Heinicke out there.
The only thing ridder does better is run the ball and if Heinicke had ridders size and speed…Heinicke would be better at that too because he has better intuition and overall football iq in genral.
