I posted a pic of Ro+Queen with the caption “Death Ro” as the name of the defense, cuz it’s a fire name and very fitting. Despite our elite defense all year, I get a bunch of dumbasses in the comments being like “not elite after the browns loss” and “they gotta earn that name”. So here’s some facts y’all need to remember if you seriously blame the defense for the Browns loss:

• Defense held the Browns to 17 points by the end of the 3rd, and held them to just 9 at the half.

• Amari, Ford & Njoku never scored

• Watson only had 1 TD and Hamilton picked him off within the first minute.

• Tucker’s kick got blocked, that would’ve made it a 1 point game

• OL penalty on Linderbaum reversed a TD

  • We sacked Watson 4 times, 8 QB hits & 4 TFLs

  • Marlon got hurt halfway through the 3rd

  • Clowney missed some time after getting hurt right before the half

  • Stanley missed nearly the entire 4th Q

  • Travis got hurt halfway through the 4th Q

  • Mekari was already in for Moses, and Faalele replaced Stanley for nearly the entire 4th Q.

  • Our offense only had 2 TDs in the last 3 quarters combined.

”We gave up 33 points and Watson lit us up!!”- Y’all forgot how the Browns actually got to 33 points: half of those were from FGs. HALF. Browns had to settle for 4 FGs. The TD that won the game was off a tipped pass by Lamar (Okonkworo beat Mekari and got his hands up) that Newsome returned.

Defense has been balling and elite, it’s the inconsistent offense you need to be criticizing. Blame the offense for being just 2/8 on 3rd downs this game, that was a big reason for the L. Blame Monken for not using Keaton. Defense has done its job all year. They should’ve done better, but let’s stop acting like this defense is now complete trash, it’s still an elite defense. Most of why the Browns won is from an inconsistent offense that struggled vs an equally good if not better defense. Watson didn’t light it up, half their points were from field goals and they won cuz we didn’t score enough points. We were also without both our starting OTs for the 4thQ vs an elite DL so that explains a lot of the 4thQ choke.

Yes it sucks we lost the Browns game, but do not blame a consistently great and clearly elite defense for that loss. Recency bias is far too strong and a lot of you need to stop being overly reactionary.

I get what you mean by “our offense didn’t score enough points,” but our defense gave up more.

And you say “we held them to 17 through 3 quarters,” but the game isn’t 3 quarters long.

Sure, they settled for field goals, but we let them march down the field the entire setting half. And they won the game in one of those field goals. Tackling was awful in the second half. We put up 31 points. Shouldn’t lose a game like that.

I’m confident we can move on and still win this division, but it’s ok to let the defense take the blame on this one.

No defense can continuously get stops. The offense has to do their duty

Atleast if they aren’t gonna score they need to hold the ball and chew clock to let the defense rest. 4th quarter 3 and outs are killer

There is blame all around for last game. On offense Lamar had his worst game of the year, The O line made lots of mistakes, and Keaton Mitchell inexplicably only got 3 touches all game. On defense Marcus Williams and Geno Stone were liabilities as tacklers and gave up some huge catches too, PQ just about single handedly walked the Browns down the field on that 10 minute drive with multiple coverage failures and missed tackles, and The D line couldn’t win when it counted. On special teams we had no significant returns and we got a field goal blocked. I agree that the offense was probably more to blame for that loss than the defense, but don’t pretend that the defense played a perfect game.

Watson didn’t throw an incomplete pass in the second half and the Browns scored on every drive. They had a backup OL and a QB with a broken shoulder.

Ay man, STFU with this shit. The team lost. Defense and offense. If you ain’t watch the defense getting bullied up and down the field than you didn’t watch the game. Browns were dragging them boys like children. If the ball bounces a few different ways then we win the game. A deflection off a helmet and fumble that we didn’t jump on. Blame goes all around, Baltimore fans so used to glorifying the defense that it’s scrambling your brains to acknowledge any of the above

Either way, Clowney’s Clowns still allowed an epic collapse. After the pick 6 on the second play they didn’t play well at all. Lots of other things (tip pick 6) allowed this fuck up to happen. I’m moving on. The vibes are back.
