I think if he does come back, he will join with the Lions instead. They are a SB contender, and he could be their missing piece. Hutch needs someone on the other side.

as i don’t follow cardinals defensive players at all, i was thinking to myself, “is JJ even any good anymore?” then i looked up his stats from just last year. 12.5 sacks in 16 games. that’s still damn good! especially considering last year, our leader in sacks was jerry hughes with 9… come back JJ!!!

If we keep our win streak going then the talk alone on espn would DOMINATE the news cycle. At some point his wife would just be like, “just go play I’m tired of hearing about it!”

    CJ wins ROY and MVP

JJ wins comeback player of the year

Texans hoist the Lombardi in Vegas. JJ getting the mic first; “This one’s for you Bob.”; then points to the sky, a single tear rolls down his face.

I’m 6 to midnight over here boys!

Here’s the other thing. We can open the check book right now for JJ. We’ve got plenty of cap space with all of these rookie contracts that just started. Sign him for a deal for the end of this season and two more. He’d almost certainly win us a chip. Imagine all of the other free agents in the offseason lining up to play on the most electrifying team in the league behind a top-5 GOAT on defense and the greatest rookie QB of all time. We’re going to need some more Koolaid.

His leadership, model work ethic, and the knowledge he can pass on to the younger players is enough to pay the man, even if he never took the field.

Just the image of JJ having a big sack in the 4th quarter back in Texans gear and then him pointing to his name in the ring of honor at NRG would be beyond hype. And further context its a close score to either close the game out or put the ball back into CJ’s hands to win the game. Everyone on the sideline including the fans would get up high knee stepping and scream with jubilation. I know I would. Especially so if we were able to win him a ring, the first Lombardi in franchise history. With CJ slinging it and Meco at the helm, it’s possible. sips Kool-aid

But unfortunately even while retired he still is under Cardinal control at the moment so there would be logistical complications. But a man could dream. He could totally make a huge impact even on a limited snap count if he felt good and was in shape. Just move him around the line again like the good old days.
