Probably the most important game of the season. If we really want to cement our playoff status it would be in this game. Hoping for the W since we’ve beat them before already on their turf. LFG!!

SoCal natives are obviously going to be super prideful of where they’ve come from just like any native Texan especially a Houstonian so I don’t fault him for that. I think the longer he stays in H-town especially if he sticks around a bit during the offseason he’ll start to find his own pockets of the city that he resonates with. Since Houston has a bit of everything for everyone, you just have to know where to look depending on what you’re into/about.
Love the interview and to see CJ’s personality come out a lot more in this relaxed/chill type of setting with the boys. Glad he’s also the type to not hold his punches when it comes to what he likes and is about as well.
What a small world didn’t know the Stingley to Madden connection. Super wholesome and touching story, glad the NFL did this little segment.
Happy Thanksgiving bro.
Thankful that we somehow made a complete 180° as an organization in one offseason miraculously. When you look at it a lot of moving parts all contributed to what we’re seeing/feeling now as stated by u/BatteredAggie’s comment. Some of which you could attribute to luck like this most recent draft which is looking early on as the best overall Texan’s draft of all time. But we deserve a bit of luck considering everything we’ve had to go through as fans the past few years.
Lastly most important of all thankful that Texans football is now genuinely exciting again with an actual future to look forward to for all of us fans. None of this pseudo smoke and mirrors BS either. We’re legit and the sky’s truly the limit this year and beyond.
Anyways hope everyone celebrated and ate well, happy holidays friends!
Upvoting for visibility and just to read everyone’s stories which is always really cool. Born and raised Houstonian so I’ve always supported our teams.
Just the image of JJ having a big sack in the 4th quarter back in Texans gear and then him pointing to his name in the ring of honor at NRG would be beyond hype. And further context its a close score to either close the game out or put the ball back into CJ’s hands to win the game. Everyone on the sideline including the fans would get up high knee stepping and scream with jubilation. I know I would. Especially so if we were able to win him a ring, the first Lombardi in franchise history. With CJ slinging it and Meco at the helm, it’s possible. sips Kool-aid
But unfortunately even while retired he still is under Cardinal control at the moment so there would be logistical complications. But a man could dream. He could totally make a huge impact even on a limited snap count if he felt good and was in shape. Just move him around the line again like the good old days.
As long as the boys play hard and show grit like they did last week, win or lose I’ll still be proud. Even a banged up Bengals team is no joke. Let’s get it!
Slowik’s playcalling needs a bit of work, and the kneejerk reaction would be to blame the run, but if you look at the stats and watch the film it was one of our better rushing days considering how bad we’ve been. The pass game dropped the ball today and it didn’t help we couldn’t block well plus all those penalties we had.
Defense did as well as you could asked for with that red zone denial in the first half plus all those sacks on Bryce, secondary could have been better though. Really hope Stingley comes back ASAP!
Overall the guys looked asleep coming out of the bye, but hopefully this puts a fire under their ass and they come out ready to play next week.
Glad our defense was able to hold it down there, let’s forget that first drive and let’s make some money now
Have no idea what kind of blocking that was from our oline that first drive, but I hope it was fluke. Let’s see our defense go out and get after it.
I guess that’s some consolation to the loss yesterday. I was looking at it, and if Stroud can average at minimum 185 yards for the rest of the season he’ll overtake Luck as the new single season Rookie passing yard leader. And only 12 TDs to match Herbert which is an average of 2 passing TDs for the games left. CJ just continues to impress and dazzle.
