I mean 325 a week if they’re babies or toddlers makes sense in todays economy. I was paying nearly 200/wk like 20 years ago

You get what you pay for, what they spend on CC is pretty typical, especially if you want a reputable facility, which you’d want for many reasons. Child care costs in the US are criminal 🫣.

I don’t understand what happened. I don’t remember exactly what I paid for Montessori School in 2002 when my daughter went, and granted it wasn’t all day, but I remember it being about $200 a month. That’s apparently the equivalent of about $342 a month now. Even if I double it to have her go all day that’s less than $700 a month. What the hell? How do people do this?

That’s low in my area, and they are in a similar socioeconomic area as me. Kids are expensive!

    I pad $180/week (2004-2008) - so that’s like $800/month

So add almost 2 decade worth of inflation and $1300/month sound about right!!

Makes sense. I taught pre-k around 13 years ago and it was $45 per day per kid then. Sometimes less for multiple kids but for the most part if you have 3 kids you’re better off staying home
