For reference: I’ve been doing copywriting for the past three years.
During this time span I have worked hard to increase my skills and currently make $10,000 a month.
However, I’ve been lacking real fulfillment from what I do. I don’t hate copywriting, some days I love it. The thing is, I’m constantly working. My rates aren’t cheap so I don’t think that’s the issue.
I’m no “A-List” copywriter either. I know if I invested more time into learning more I could be and get into the super high-ticket deals (closing $8,000 for emails, sales pages things like that).
Im even working with my first billion dollar company who wants me to help them scale.
It’s just been difficult to spark any motivation to invest more into my skills.
I’ve even looked into other ventures. Maybe client fullfilment isn’t for me? Im not sure but if doesn’t feel like I’m making any real impact.
Right now, I can keep doing what I’m doing while I build something else on the side.
But apart of me feels almost guilty for leaving copywriting since I’ve put so much effort into it.
It’s like we’re married but I’m just going through the motions.
Have you ever been in this situation and what did you do?
Thanks in advance.
I’m young and just starting to figure out what I want to do myself. Although, I believe that finding something you’re passionate about is the key. If you’re not fulfilled I doubt you will wake up one day and have it click unless something changes a lot. Do what your heart is telling you to do.
Don’t feel guilty for trying to find another passion.
You will end up finding the right decision so don’t beat yourself up about it.
Good luck, if you need someone to chat, let me know!
