Lets try and get some perspective. Whatever happens with Bill and the Pats, we should try and remember the excellence that we all enjoyed over the last 20 years. We somehow came to take for granted winning the AFC ( which we did 9 times ) and 9 Superbowl appearances with 6 titles… None of that happens without Bill. The Bill-Brady combo was a powerhouse, and we all benefitted. Whether Bill goes somewhere else, JUST LIKE BRADY DID, we should lay off the daily beatings. 3rd winningest coach in history, he deserves our respect.
Bill was a great coach and GM, but the game has changed. The Pats do not have the brain power they once did, and he refuses to bring in outside help. Bill would get rid of Bill for not evolving with the times. He already said, " I am going to work with people that I like," this means he would not consider guys like Moss or Dillion because those guys were great players with character issues. He is no longer doing all he can to win and is more interested in playing games with the extra QB slot. All those moves and he does not have a clear alternative to Mac Jones.
Keep living in the past…it will do wonders for this teams future…Brady made BB
Firing a coach in the middle a lost season gives you the chance to see how a candidate would be in actual games. Jared Mayo gets seven auditions to show why he should be HC.
Personally, after he pushed out Brady, I felt like he needed to “put up or shut up” because Brady deserved whatever contract he wanted and Bill seemingly wouldn’t budge. So my allegiance is to Brady in a way.
If Brady didn’t get the respect from the Bill, then whenever bill starts to show his decline it’s time to toss him out with yesterdays trash. You actively push away the greatest player of all time and follow that decision up with this shit? I’m sorry but nah I’ll slander you a little on the way out. Thanks for the 20 years but get the fuck out - exactly what he said to Brady.
It was Tom, not Bill.
No hate, but he’s clearly past his prime so its time to go
Yes please.
