If Rune wins, Djokovic is out. If Sinner wins, Djokovic is 2nd.

Sinner will play his best, and not tank for 4 reasons: the crowd, revenge to rune, respect to nole, and respect to himself.

I don’t get why Hurkacz played like he himself gains from just taking a set lol

In the 3rd set he looked like he had absolutely no motivation to actually win the match despite the fact that he himself only gains something from winning and not just forcing it to 3

Like even the serve fell off a cliff which on this type of court is almost unheard of for Hurkacz

Feels like a loss for Djokovic, as a Rune win over an already qualified Sinner would send him home.

They really need to get rid of the round robin format. This is bullshit that the group could be decided on the percentage of set won.

Rune got a 2-0 free win against Tsitsipas and now he could pass the group and be first if Sinner decides to tank the match. And if Djokovic lost the thirs set today, he could have a chance to still win the tournament with 2 matchs lost. this is so stupid.

They should use the dual tournament format which is more fair. But because it means there is one less match to show (the guy who goes 0-2 is out immediatly) but it’s much more fair.

Unfortunately, Rune leads the h2h 2-0 against Sinner including an indoor hard court (both in 2022). I hope PPS rises up again lol

This is why I never put much weight on this tournament, the players are beat-up at the end of the year and the format is very convoluted allowing a player to lose two matches and still win the tournament theoretically. It has a lot of points and purse but not prestige.

That’s why we’ve had so many non-big 4 winners compared to the slams like nalbandian, grigor, daveydenko, stef, zverev (x2), medvedev (at least he’s won a slam tho).

I think Sinner would actually want to play Djokovic again in the final. That’s his mentality, imagine the triumph of potentially going undefeated and also beating Djokovic twice in the same tournament?

1 shit game from Novak in the second and he got broken. The game after he almost breaks back at 15-40. But Hurkbot decided to hits 3 aces in a row lmao. That has to be the most frustrating thing for every player.
