This is a common theme among my friend group so I thought about asking this on Reddit!
Is there a particular game that you THINK about playing but doing so in actuality is kind of boring?
With me, sometimes I “romanticize” playing this game called Warno on Steam. However, when I go to actually play it, I get exhausted trying to relearn the controls and the whole match setup process so I quit.
In my head, it’s more fun to play! But when I go to actually play it, I get bored or I just don’t have the tolerance to play it.
What game is better in your mind than it is in real life?
Does this happen to you?
It Takes Two. I want to do a full playthrough, but it’s co-op only and it’s hard to find a player who will actually stick with you through the whole thing.
Idk why but I tried playing rdr2 but since none of my friends have it I need more space to get games they all have
Elden ring
Outer Wilds
Probably an incredible experience
I don’t think I’ll ever play it for more than an hour
Star Citizen.
But it’s not my fault.
Skyrim VR
I own it. I’d love to get lost in its world. I know whenever I fire it up I feel like a God.
It’s just too much. The idea of it sooths me, however.
WoW of course.
Dark souls 1/2 and bloodborne i love the rest of the souls games but bloodborne aint for me and dark souls 1/2 too clunck
Hate that I’m saying this, but Xenoblade chronicles. Got stuck on a boss and i loathe the amount of grinding I’ll need to do to beat it. Chronicles 3 was such an easy play though, at no point did i feel like i was trudging through it. Hopefully I’ll want to play it again soon, as i know I’ll LOVE the story and characters…i feel guilty even typing this LOL

I think I’ve beaten Margit/Mohg in Elden Ring about 10ish times with vastly different characters/play orders every time and still haven’t found the next big bad.
The Witcher 3 Assassins Creed Origins and finishing HzD i just cant get into any of these and i forced my way through HzD
I finally started Nier: Automata a few weeks ago but only got to the first save point. I think I will pick it back up, I did the same with Stray which I ended up really enjoying.
Street fighter 6. Got it and only ever play it 5 minutes at a time because I find it so overwhelming to learn and practicing inputs felt too repetitive to do while staring at my backlog of other games. I went so far as buying a stick as well since I grew up with SF2.
