What a game
Refs were awful, but we were cooking until Jojo inexplicably took a fastbreak 1 v 5 middie and then tried that awful volleyball pass. Was an immediate 6 point swing and MIl never looked back.
This is early season Jojo, so I know he will find his groove, but you gotta clean that shit up. Can’t be taken possessions for granted.
Liked what I saw from our new signings though and Nurse is a great coach.
Excited to see how this team grows over the season regardless of our lack of talent.
I actually feel better about this team despite the loss. Literally if they call the blatantly obvious Giannis travel we win. They had homecourt, we still don’t have Harden or whoever we are gonna get from him, and we lost by only one point to the team that everyone has crowned as going to the finals already. Coaching was sooo much better. Embiid still needs to get into shape, but by mid-november we are gonna be really really good.
embiid as the centerpiece to our offense is never going to produce a championship, mark my words. the refs were bad, but embiid went MIA in the closing minutes. inexcusable
Refs were not going to spoil Dame’s debut. This team is going to be really good this year.
This team will do as far as Tyrese Maxey can take them. Embiid is a turnover machine. How many times did Van Gundy talk about how he hasent figure out how to pass out of double team while dribbling. His game ain’t changing
Missing our $35m point guard, on the road, embiid not in shape and only lost by 1 playing 8 on 5. Not too mad. We just dug ourselves too big of a hole
Maxey was pretty passive in the first quarter but I’m glad he picked up the aggressiveness in the second half
31/4/8 is a great start for him, if he can remain consistent and we rack up wins he might make all star, probably as a replacement reserve if not voted in
