I was just wondering if there were items or champions that just seem designed with another in mind. For example, I find Zhonya’s Hourglass and Ekko to have a surpringsingly good synergy with each other; outside of the time joke; Zhonya synergises with both the Q, the W and the R of Ekko which I don’t believe to be a conincidence.

    Zhonya predates Ekko by years. It existed, at least in some way, since beta.

    The ad support item (Spectral Scythe) was made because of Senna.

    On release, Senna had a clunky passive that made Frost queen’s claim give her equivalent AD. Then, in preseason, they added an ad version, and removed that passive.
