I truly believe they have Jordan Poole and that massive contract so there can be no thought of “tanking.” I think adding expensive talented players who are to immature to lead a team but could but won’t, is a great way to lose without backlash and get you what you want. You don’t have to worry about the culture Jordan want’s because you’ll dump him when you need to, and the fans can’t say you purposely lost games cuz well “we got up and comer Jordan Poole who helped golden state to a ring and Kyle Kuzma it just didn’t work”
no way bro
most non casuals knew he was gon be tank commander
Wizards got a winning mentality with Kuzma and Poole. What’s there to dislike?
Damn, thats some 4d chess the Wizards are playing. Its like Draymond getting a 5 games suspension saves the Warriors $2.5 mils in tax.
Do any wizards fans believe Jordan Poole is the future?
I mean he might have to be until the last year or two of his contact
They are trying to rehab his value so they can flip him a year or so down the road. You gotta spend money on somebody so might as well kick the tires on a young player.
Suck and see if he can develop. He’s a talented player that needs to clean it up. Worth a shot, nothing to lose.
didnt they lose beal and kp? they were 12th in the east with them, no way poole was going to make them better
Is Ron Holland really good? We already have Kuzma.
He’s an entertaining player to watch. He’s like if you handed J.R Smith or Nick Young the keys to a franchise.
You’re not going to win shit, but the memes and highlights, both good and bad, will be legendary.
Poole is best suited as a microwave scoring role player. He filled that role pretty well for the dubs because they had a roster around him that could cover his weaknesses (being one of the worst and laziest defenders in the league and dribbling the ball off his foot every other possession).
But if you are signing him as a cornerstone or leader of a franchise, you are developmentally disabled, to put it kindly.
Did literally anybody ever think otherwise?!?
And, while they were at it, got rid of maybe the worst contract in NBA history (Beal with his NTC.)
