  • Just need to see what he does from here on out.

It is always so interesting to see such topics (not just about Jokic, but players in general.)

Because Bron is (so oddly) one of the most criticized stars ever. You are asking about Jokic’s ALL-TIME CENTER RANKING as Joker now has 2 RSMVPs, 1 FMVP, 1 title and 1 Finals appearance.

Bron has 4 RSMVPs, 4 FMVPs, 4 titles, 10 Finals appearances and casually set the all-time scoring record despite scoring never being his greatest skill.

  • “If you’re still struggling to understand how tournaments with groups work, play some FIFA or watch any sport outside of America.”

I have no desire to play FIFA or watch fucking cricket or whatever. If I did, I would have already been doing so.

The issue with the tournament is just the latest example of Silver doing what he does: Changing things for the fuck of it to draw an audience that…isn’t going to watch anyway. The courts are headache inducing. No team worth a fuck is going to risk their title aspirations to win a November game.

Players and the admin for official social media accounts are of course given their talking points, but is a SINGLE SOUL that wasn’t ALREADY GOING TO WATCH ANYWAY really tuning into the Kings vs Pelicans or Celtics vs Pacers next week?!?

  • The obvious answers are the Wolves and Magic.

And it’s even crazier - to me - that people don’t grasp this:

    IT’S STILL FUCKING NOVEMBER.

There’s still three more nights (tonight included) on the schedule before it’s even fucking December!!!

Both teams may end up in the Finals. I’ll shit in my hand and eat it if that’s the Finals matchup, but we’ll see what happens.

I’d be shocked if either team wins a first-round playoff series than anything.

And that’s fine. MIN has a legit franchise player in ANT. ORL has a lot of fantastic young talent. Building blocks.

I just think it’s a tad premature to compare either team to the 96 Bulls or 15 Warriors.

  • If the Warriors and Magic started a series tomorrow, would you honestly believe ORL would beat GS?

I think that’s something lost on the FAKE OUTRAGE HOT TAKES about these things.

If the two teams played 100 times, I’d root for ORL 101 times.

But, I’m not stupid. If I had to bet money, I’d place it on GS 102 times out of 100.

I don’t care about Orlando’s potential. Don’t care about GS is washed (as a title contender.) THIS SEASON - 2023-2024 - I would easily pick GS over ORL in a playoff series.

That’s what power rankings are for. Anyone can just fucking look at the standings and list the teams in that order.

  • I’m not “down” on Wemby.

I just said it before the season:

    1. Saying he’s the most hyped prospect ever is fucking stupid.

    2. I’d like to see him - ya know - play some NBA games before I put him in the HOF.

Specifically to point one, if he has literally half the accolades as Bron - 10x AS, two MVPs, two FMVPs, five Finals - then he will be viewed as one of the greatest players ever.

And the Spurs roster really sucks. I’ll never forget the weirdo on here that said the Spurs do have talent, but they can’t score in ISO because they are young. That is LITERALLY the time players most thrive in ISO. Playing on bad teams and playing when they rely on athleticism before they understand the game.

Mix in Pop - who doesn’t care about regular-season participation trophies and who invented healthy players just sitting out for rest - and I just don’t see how the Spurs get more than 20-25 wins.
