Definitely the strongest episode of the season thus far.

The first 2 were a lot of exposition for my taste, but I understand it has to be done.

I will say though that some of the animation and sound design feels kind of lacking this season. There are a lot of “empty” moments during like a character’s reaction or following a punchline that feel weirdly unfinished in a way? Like we’re still seeing storyboards of the season rather than the fully fleshed out scene.

I know it’s a creative decision to lean in towards the minimalist animation, but it somehow feels barren/lower budget at times compared to the first season.

Hoping it’s just a matter of them allotting the animation budget to the more important episodes.

Is there a reason science dog has been changed to séance dog? Don’t mind the change, just curious

This episode is my favorite example of Mark being a fucking moron.

Come on Mark. You can count the number of people who know you are a superhero on one hand. The only one of them who lives in space and knows you like Seance Dog is your fucking father. Why in the FUCK didn’t you catch onto that?

Damn they are fast in adapting the comic book, I suspected this plot twist would be the cliffhanger of this season and the whole season 2 would be just the aftermaths of the previous one. Good pacing, if they continue like that Robot and Monster girl Dimension arc will be in season 3 and season 4 can be the last one with Reboot and The Ending of All Things that are just my favorites

This episode was the most “filler episode” one they have done so far, and I LOVE how they decided to fuck around with it so we wouldn’t get bored. They needed to have an episode that covers transitional events that just put characters into the places where they needed to be for future stories and yet they were able to do so in a way that I might actually want to rewatch some day.

Why did I have to see Allen die twice? And the way he smiled at his girlfriend for the last time, knowing what would happen. He just looked happy to see her. This damn Thaedus has to be the rat, he got Allen killed. TWICE.

They adapted these parts so well from the comic. I’m impressed.

That fake credit scene was insane lmao. I legit yelled out, “What!!?” and checked to see how many minutes were left, only to realize that was the ending of the Allen the Alien episode.

The way Allen got defeated just wasn’t fair. He was up against THREE Viltrumites, absolutely brutal. Easily the best episode out of the three, I’m super excited to watch next week’s episode before they take a break heading into 2024, and from what I heard from people who got early screenings, it’s amazing.

This was a marvellous episode! A wonderful refinement of the original comics! Just two lines from Repli-Kate fleshed out her character, powers, and the Immortal relationship brilliantly. Debbie is truly alienated on Earth. Amber accepts the deal, and Mark knows none of this is fair. And the Allen stuff – well, not sure exactly where that’s coming from or going to, but we get a slightly wider picture.

This episode is like someone fell asleep with their imagination on the gas pedal. Brilliant!

As a lifelong Transformers fan, Peter Cullen sounding exactly like Optimus Prime kind of broke my immersion, I just heard Optimus dubbed over some old guy
