My display strains my eyes now like HDR. No matter how bright I make my screen the colors are all dim now. How do I go back to the old version?

I was really impressed after I installed the update last night! Vibrant Deck helped but this is so much better. I only wish it had been like this from the start lol. I won’t even get to enjoy it for long before my OLED version comes in. Ah well, whoever gets my old one will get to enjoy it :P

is this in stable or preview channel? i dont keep up with updates too much

It’s surprising how much better the default colors look after the update. I’m still considering switching over to the OLED for the other hardware upgrades, but the LCD’s screen definitely feels like it was upgraded for free.

This is why I made a good guy valve post about how they knew the oled was coming and still chose to give lcd users a screen upgrade via software and people got so mad it was insane lol.

I’m interested in finding out what the performance will be for the new upgrades while docked. That’s where the bulk of my time is spent on the SD, while it’s docked.

Everything just is super dull on mine now?

I almost brick my Steam Deck from the update, because I’m running on dual boot, and trying to boot up the SteamOS.efi file. The display just stop working, and the Steam Deck refuses to power up.

After giving up for a bit, 10 minutes later, the Steam Deck suddenly power up, but things are a mess so I’m trying to fix it now that the device is running. I should just reimage the Steam Deck to save me the headache trying to fix it.

As someone new… What version is the current version and which is for testers only?

Wonder if there are any before and after pics to see how much the new color slider helps.
