I know our record is really bad, and we have a losing streak going, but every game has been pretty close.
We have had one of the toughest schedules to start the season and we have managed to keep pretty much every game close, and in my opinion pretty entertaining. All while missing a lot of players due to injury or sickness.
I know we have our issues but I feel like everything is so negative in this subreddit which I get considering our record, but at least we aren’t getting blown out like we were last year. Also a lot of our losses are less than it equal to our free throw disparity against teams, so if we can get the free throws closer that would help tremendously.
So just a positive thought for game day.
I can appreciate some positivity. The losing is tough but I’m enjoying watching the young guys
I know if “ifs and buts”… but we’re not far off from several more wins. Last second Cade 3 vs the Heat, shitting our pants vs the Blazers, and a flipped call vs the Bucks away from 5-7 after a tough schedule without being close to healthy. I’m a huge homer, but I think getting a bit healthier makes us a tough team most nights
Get ready to see Knox get more play time than Ivey this game. But yet Monty wants to preach “earn minutes”. Props to Ivey honestly for how he’s handled this bs from Monty
Please stop
I’ve been thinking a lot about the record and performances and tbh I think a lot of the negativity stems from the fact that this group of players (ignoring injuries) just cannot win professional basketball games. The basketball has been good in my opinion, definitely an improvement over last year. There have been some standout performances too as you have mentioned and Ausar genuinely looks like a budding star.
Winning games is an absolute must though and as a fan looking at a 2-10 record is appalling. Obviously we’re very early in the season but I think negativity and holding this franchise accountable for the product are just where we are.
