The shit that’s staring us right in the face is that Duncan plays significantly better when Herro is out of the rotation…. Maybe it’s just a minutes thing, that Duncan needs more to play his game and cook, which isn’t much of the case when Herro plays. Idk

Duncan is more valuable to this team because he’s a better shooter and more efficient scorer. Max is the better defender but Duncan hasn’t been a big liability this year

Duncan with less turnovers and less fouls is underrated.

Happy for my boy Max. Breaking a curse of Heat G-Leagers sucking on new teams. Duncan and Max are both starters in this league, and playing their best basketball now that they don’t have to compete for minutes.

I think its always helpful to look at comparisons like this on a per possession basis. Duncan has the significant edge in scoring volume and efficiency. Max will always be better on defense and on the boards due to his physicality, but I think Dunc (when he’s clicking) is a better fit for what this team needs.

Scoring wise Max is better on catch and shoot and can attack closeouts straight up, where as Duncan can create a lot of different high level looks with his ability to relocate and hit movement 3’s. Him getting back to that while also uping the drive rate is an insane leap for a 29 year old.
