He’s averaging 20.5/5.2/3.7 on 56% TS this season. Solid numbers but not what we have come to expect from him. Instead of playing like the superstar he once was, he’s playing like a glorified Khris Middleton.

He’s 32 which is right around the point where a lot of stars fall off anyway. Did his latest injury in the playoffs end his prime?

The me what has really slipped is his defense. He is still big, has long arms and giant hands, but for some reason he doesnt feel like the claw anymore.

y’all do this every season i swear

he’s a notoriously slow starter and then come December all the way through the playoffs when he’s averaging 30/8/4 on 68% true shooting everyone is suddenly shocked

Shot hasn’t fell as much and the new “system” isn’t helping

I think he’s taken a step back to let PG and the other guys carry a bigger load cause he’s been a carry job for the last 4 years

He could certainly be “the guy” but it’s not the playoffs so he probably doesn’t care.

Too soon to say IMO. He might be holding back a bit until he figures out how things can best work with Har_en. Or he might be done. We should know soon enough.

people asked this exact same question when he started playing last year too. had like 10-20 games where he looked bad, then it was like a switch flipped and he shot high volume 50/50/80 splits for the rest of the year

he looks significantly skinnier. he’s probably having to readjust to getting to his spots without as much muscle to help bully his way there.

kawhi loves playing basketball. he’s obsessed with it like all the greats. that skill is not gonna go away

Kawhi bossed out after load managing half of last season into a non-contact injury after 1 full playoff game. After that Toronto championship, he’s chillin like lil b TYBG wearing the same vans for 10 years now, he stopped giving a fuck, thank you based whi, he gave us enough greatness for 5 entire careers and then was like fuck it I’m rich bitch

Raptors kawhi was his peak…if he didn’t win that ring we would be saying he was a spurs system player… dumb decision going to LA coulda easily repeated in the bubble with raptors who won 53 games that bubble year… won 58 wins the chip year 17-2 without him lol and before he came won 59 with demar derozan… kawhi should thank canada he been a rip off for the clippers lol
