Sigh. How can a player both act like a tough guy AND be a flopper?
In my mind, a possession where a player dribbles the ball for 23 seconds and then chucks up an ugly shot that clanks off the side of the backboard should be counted as a turnover. Probably even worse than a turnover.
PG13 is obviously a great player, but he has already admitted that he is not good enough to be the number 1. The problem is, at this point nobody on that team is good enough to be a number 1. They are a team with two or three guys who could be the number 2 on a championship team, and all of them play like they are the first option.
Paul George can put up all the great numbers he wants. His play style will not win a championship if he shares the court with 2 or 3 other people who play the same style.
While Lavine is a better individual player than Reaves, the Lakers would be so stupid to make this trade. Reaves makes cuts. Reaves moves without the ball. Reaves does dirty work.
Maybe Lavine helps when Lebron isnt on the floor, but with Lebron on the floor they would basically be playing “your-turn-my-turn” with AD also added to that mix. What is the point of having a great passer if there is nobody cutting? Lavine will stand in the corner until he has the ball in his hands.
That isnt to say it cant work. Lavine is a freak athlete and has games where he looks like an All-NBA player. But is he a fit for the Lakers. No.
In theory, Harden and Westbrook SHOULD be the guys to get the offense going. They both play an iso-style where they kick the ball to someone with 2 seconds left on the shot clock, so it isnt great, but they are supposed to be good at running an offense.
Leonard and George have played the way they do now for the last 10+ years, so I wouldnt expect them to change. I would, however, expect them to play better defense. They used to be known for their defense. Im sure age and injuries have impacted how well they can defend, but they may also be wearing themselves out playing iso.
The Spurs are not constructed to contend. Anyone who thought Wemby would take them from trash to contender during his rookie season was sadly mistaken.
Its really a shame. The team was better before the Harden trade. Its not even necessarily Harden’s fault. They just play way too much iso and would rather take fugly shots off the side of the backboard than get someone an open shot.
Poole isnt really gunning like I would expect him to, though. Last night he only took 9 shots. He has had a few games this season where he didnt shoot that many shots.
When I think tank commander, I think of a player who is just chucking and getting his stats without caring about the team results. That typically leads to a high draft pick.
Brúh you played behind embiid
Clippers fans should be more concerned with their big 3 or whatever getting beaten by the nuggets at home without jokic and Murray.
Its hard to lump Retired NBA Players together. There are ex-players who really understand the game and others who are Kenrick Perkins. There are players who respect the current generation and players who view their era as better and want modern players to play like they did.
I like the retired players who know the game and enjoy the modern era for what it is.
As a Hawks fan, I feel bad for the hawks. I feel like trae has peaked and this is the Trae Young Hawks’ final form. We have taken on his identity. Lots of scoring, but defense so bad that we will hover around 500 all season. We are basically going to be a first or second round playoff exit until trae asks to leave and we start a rebuild.
Of course that is probably better than being Pistons fan, but I am the main character of the universe and they are just some downtrodden NPCs.
Lavine wouldn’t want to stay there anyway. He wants a bit market.

Ill be at the game tonight, front row (kind of behind the basket, though). Ill be close enough to yell mean things at the Nets players. Ill be sure to let them know that even if the Nets win the battle, Trae wins the war.
" Wow! My Washington Commanders turned the ball over six times today and gave the Giants 24 points off turnovers. We lost 31-19.
We still have season tickets available for the rest of the season. Get yours now!"
I really do enjoy Teague’s stories. Also he always sounds like he just smoked before the pod.
I guess that’s the curse of firing stan?
and denying it
You can’t create a narrative if you post what really happened.
