First of all Shaq is one of the kindest and most jovial and nicest guys to fans. No fan has ever had a bad experience with him.

He may not be a perfect x and o’s analyst but he doesnt say the same cliche things other guys like Reggie, Jackson, Burke, Smith all say. He has his own trailblazing opinions and is always genuine and honest.

He also seems to genuinely care about the players and wants to see them improve and he expresses it in weird ways but he clearly cares and wants to help players.

Everyone hates that hes too harsh on Dwight but those are the standards hes held him to.

He’s super sensitive and has no reason to be with how great he is, that’s pretty much the main reason

Because his role on the show is:

    • 40% laugh at Chuck’s jokes

    • 40% act salty at Chuck’s jokes

    • 10% Rings Erneh

    • 5% Shaqtin

    • 5% Shitting on Modern Bigs

    Dude offers almost no analysis.

      Dude offers almost no analysis.

You mean to tell me, “I was telling Chuck in the back, if they come out tonight and do what they need to do, they should win this game” isn’t enough hard hitting analysis for you?

Shaqs got a bit of an edge to him that people seldom mention. Doesn’t take jokes all too well, and seems to be a bit of an asshole to people that work for him.

Always remember one clip from Inside where he gets furious with a camera-man for not moving closer to the food that Shaq is eating. The camera-man is getting a perfectly good shot of the food from where he is, but Shaq pulls him over and essentially tells him off like a child live on TV, completely emasculating the guy.

IMO he’s a bit of a mean person who disguises himself as a nice guy by doing good things on camera.

I think because his take is very simple. “Play like this then you’ll win. 28 and 15.”

If you watch when they used to do the on court examples and it’s big man stuff he breaks things down better. Big man 101 on YouTube is one of my favorites to watch from them.
