So obviously Haliburton is ELITE on offense, but his defense has been criticized for a while now. His man defense specifically looks a little rough.

With the tools that he has, do you see him ever being a positive defender, whether that be through using more as a help defender and covering up his weak man defense, or him figuring out how to stop players better in 1v1 settings?

Like most in here are saying, I’d want his focus to be on offense. I’m more concerned with Mathurin becoming an elite defender… however Hali is quite good at intercepting passing lanes

He could become average but that’s probably the ceiling there.

He works hard on that end and is a great communicator. I think he’s looked much improved defensively this season.

Good defender no but I think he could be average. Which would be more than okay given his offense as you mentioned

I have no idea. Maybe with some added strength and advanced technique he can. Bogdanvich became an adequate defensive player

If he can become an an ball defender like Bogdanvich became with similar athletic limitations, with his already good offball defense that makes probably a good defensive player.

    That’s the absolute ceiling though

I think he can become elite off ball. Deflections, opportune steals, doubles, etc. I think with his frame he’ll struggle on ball especially when switched into 2/3’s that can drive
