Rice has played the 6 how many times for us? He’s been deployed WITH Jorginho and WITH Thomas a bit of the time. Can’t believe he’s getting that many votes but I also can believe it lol
Francis Coquelin (2010-2018)
Coq feels like he needs to be a package deal with a Cazorla double pivot… Otherwise on his own… Nah lol
Alex Song (2010-2012)
Mikel Arteta (2011-2016)
The Egyptian King (2016-present)
Thomas Partey (2020-present )
He may be unavailable quite a lot but he’s been by far our best DM in years when he’s on point.
Just wish he had the injury reliability of someone like Xhaka
Kinda funny that a guy who’s missed something like 42% of games for us is gonna get into the best XI of the last decade or so.
Speaks to how good he was when healthy, but also shows how average/dogshit the other options are in general (except you Rice Rice baby, but you’ve only just arrived).
Declan Rice (2022-present)
He will be in a few years time but we only have seen him for less than half a year with us…
But the way things are going - he’s going to be worth every pound we paid for him
It’s quite clearly Thomas Partey
Lucas Torreira (2018-2020)
So dire I’ll go with Rice. Technically it should be Partey but I’d rather not acknowledge his existence
Granit Xhaka (2016-2023)
Has to be Partey.
Rice will win it because he’s the shiny new thing and he’s been quality, but Partey has produced some world class performances pretty consistently
I think Rice will be the one eventually but for now, prime heathy Partey is peerless
Tomorrow is going to be the most contentious by a landslide. Ozil v Cazorla v Ramsey v Odegaard? Wowza. My guess is sentimentality will lead most to Ramsey, but Ozil was the best player of the lot.
Ozil fans vs a split of nostalgia votes like ramsey, wilshere and Cazorla.
There will be fans with recncy bias for Ode and those who preffer his more actove approach.
Rosicky will get some love. We will ignor Nasri.
Ozil will win easily
Think you’re discounting Cazorla
If Santi gets in so does Coq. Unreal partnership
Fabregas?
In the 2010s? He only played one season for arsenal in that decade. Not sure that’s really enough for me to include him here.
He won’t win, but where’s my Jorginho voting option, smh.
