I went in expecting to be amazed by him and he didn’t really impress me that much. They compared Jesus’ stats with him and Jesus really stands out in terms of all around play. Osimhen was just top bracket shots and aerially but Jesus wasn’t a million miles of him in those areas. Jesus was miles ahead in all other aspects.

Watching him was very similar to watching Darwin Nunez’s scouting video at Benfica. Lots of shots but some bad touches and head down when he could pass to a player in a better position…

Surprised as I thought he would be a great opportunity… Dunno what he’d be like for us if we bought him. Could be very similar to Nunez at Liverpool

Gonna bet Gary O’Neill gets no charges whatsoever after yesterday’s comments. Not saying he’s wrong whatsoever - in fact he’s completely right and fair play to him for saying it.

But if you can’t charge De Zerbi for saying he hates 80% of all English refs while charging Arteta for saying the exact same as O’Neill more-or-less, what hope does the FA have.

Seen some people think Mikel might get a touchline ban from the FA for his comments - which if he does - is ridiculous. I don’t think he will but if he does, that could very well be the last straw for the Arsenal fanbase in regards to PGMOL and the FA

Gary O’Neil has done well with that team considering the state they were in when the season started. Keeping them up is the bare minimum due to their financial state. Lopetegui leaving that club right before the season started was a huge blow for them

Yeah I don’t get why a lot of journos and pundits are disregarding us - kind of like they seen our season last year as a one off… We all know what we seen last season and we know that was not a one off. We were one of the best teams in the world for the first half of last season. Saliba injury was the only thing that took us off the rails. Jesus injury was just a small bump in comparison

On one hand it’s hilarious that they think they’re in with a chance…

On the other it’s bizarre how close they are to the top when it feels like that club is in a crisis every other week

Feel like penalties are usually a goal so a 0.79xG seems about right imo.

That said - penalty taking/saving is a skill. So it’s definitely worth training them still.

But completely agree that a slight touch in the box being rewarded with a penalty is crazy at times. It’s almost gifting a goal to the opposition. VAR need to be certain if it’s a penalty or not and stop awarding soft penalties. They can completely change games in an instant

I was honestly surprised Liverpool and City were 2nd last while we were last.

I get they weren’t the best games but come on Liverpool and City is still a huge match in the context of the title race. 1-1 is still an interesting scoreline for it not to be first.

Ah well - I feel like I’m complaining about something not all that important in the grand scheme of things

Honestly 12m for an aging Henderson is a decent fee. Liverpool made the right call taking the money on offer.

Ridicuolous - RDZ’s comments were way worse than what Arteta said

I think Zinny being in and out of the team via injury/rotation is the issue.

That said there is definitely room for tactical rotation (and of course rotation based on performances). I just think Zinny at his best will be the best option we can have if that’s possible

I do think an in form Zinchenko is so hard to replicate in our team though. The problem is getting him at his absolute best consistently.

Most of the time he’s good but his form has had some dips in recent months. Just hope it’s a case of him being in and out so often

To be fair - he’s right. I mean we all know it. That said he does a lot of other things exceptionally well.

If we could get say an extra 5-10 goals out of Jesus, that would help a lot

True - Remember his first goal for us against Leicester? That finish was exquisite

We haven’t had strikers who could do what Henry does - he was literally the best player in the world at the time (or there abouts) for a few years with us… Sure RVP or Auba may have hit the scoring numbers but they wouldn’t have gotten the assist numbers

Auba has that issue of his decline. RVP only had 2 seasons since 2010 but he had the best season of any striker for us since 2010 in 11/12
