Clearly not happy in buffalo, has strong ties with Daboll and Joe Shoen and is a true WR1.

However is all that worth going against the “Smart, Tough, Dependable.” mantra with his diva antics to fill that void on the team?

Drafted QB and Diggs might be helpful but only after we go G in FA first.

Absolutely not. We are finally developing a disciplined locker-room after years of dysfunction. I don’t think the gain of adding diggs outweighs the risk of obtaining him. Imagine the damage and destruction he can do to our franchise should things go south. We need someone who is going to be on board with a ship that may sink. Not an opportunist like Diggs.

With that said, I would love to have diggs if our team was already at or close to a playoff contender

Oh, I’d love to have him. He’s an amazing receiver.

But he’d turn into OBJ 2.0 once we start losing. And I don’t think his addition would be enough to prevent that from being the case.

He’s about to 30, the Giants likely are about to draft a QB, and it would require good draft capital to pay him $18.5M next year. There are better ways to go about fixing things. Not that it wouldn’t help a new QB or Jones even, but this doesn’t sound like the right move at the moment.
