Completion % never made sense to me. It’s just as outdated as Batting Average in baseball. It does not tell the full story whatsoever. Sure a higher completion is inherently good, but a low one doesn’t mean that a QB can’t make throws. What about good throw aways, spikes, etc.
While this is an example of a throw away, it would be disingenuous to say that his low completion percentage was due to throw aways. He missed a couple throw last game (really missed more against TB; last game was too many drops by WRs) and the game before. He’s a rookie so he will miss, but don’t try to say that his throw aways are the reason for his sub 60% completion.
