I am guilty of the following which got me thinking…

I am in (and have been for a year+) the market for an f80 m3 sedan… it must be 6spd and comp package

As time goes by and the I look and understand the market for these - Why is an older, higher mileage sedan going for more money than a newer, lower mileage coupe?

The coupes were made up until 2020 The sedans only 2018

So less sedans in the market But, you would think most people would want an m4? The e46 and e92 m3s are legend… I don’t see nearly the amount of e90 m’s and as e92 coupe M3s… and generally 2 door is more sporty than 4

Just curious as your thoughts on the market on these. I love the sedan look with the wider rear hips, I wish the coupe had that. But… now i am considering switching my search to a coupe for above reason

2 extra doors and arguably better aesthetics with no downsides. Why wouldnt you prefer the M3?

Most enthusiasts think the sedan looks better. More pronounced rear fender flares and more proportional given how long these cars have gotten. Plus there arent as many manual performance sedans on the market compared to manual coupes. It’s like this on the g80 as well.

The e90 is an outlier because it didn’t get the carbon roof and most had a heavy sunroof. An e90 m3 slicktop fetches very good money.
