Did anyone else get a boring and emotionless feeling when watching the opening ceremony compared to previous years?

I don’t know, apart from HEARTSTEEL everything else felt completely emotionless. The CGI felt even worse. What was that even second opening song? That was the worst version of Rise I’ve ever heard.

I don’t know, I just felt very let down by Riots opening ceremony this year. Opinons?

    They just do not learn with the 3D AR models

    if this is the best you can make them look, just leave it be and don’t use them. these look embarrassing

    also the storytelling with the dude and the portal was just a bit…weird? didnt really hook me

    vocals on the performances were pretty great tho

    Heartsteel wasn’t good either lol.

    That CGI did NOT benefit from the close-ups.

    Ceremony overall was mid to straight up bad.

    Also, the really artificial player intros bringing them out by role. It’s like production was scared to introduce them one by one because the Weibo side would get zero cheers, but you could kind of feel the crowd confusion.

    Literally none of it are hitting things that I like, soooo…

    I don’t really understand why Riot keep trying to push these music groups/fake music groups that double as champs. They could pull out the OG Pentakill shit if they want some genuine hype and unique music, but doubt they’ll ever do that and just keep doing the same thing they always do. Spinning dancers that no one cares about… generic pop anthem song that gets old really fast… Kpop to hit that angle that doubles as champions/skins in the game.
