A game that didn’t live up to the hype, or a game that you were really excited about but lost you, or a game that took a weird turn in the story that killed the joy?
I immediately think of Watch Dogs. It had a cool premise, and started with cool gameplay, but was totally ruined by the repetitive enemies whose only difficulty increased by the their hit bar getting more and more implausibly larger. A gang member with no armor taking 400 headshots a still fighting was just stupid.
If I have to pick one, it would be Diablo IV. I did have a lot of fun playing II and even III with some friends but we were so dissapointed with IV that we don’t even talk about it anymore
GOW: Ragnarok. Objectively I know it’s a great game, but for whatever reason it just didn’t do it for me. All I remember thinking after GOW 2018 was that I wanted more of this. I wanted to continue the story and feel how I felt in 2018. Unfortunately the arena style combat, the puzzles and abilities just got too repetitive for me. If my expectations weren’t so high I definitely think I would’ve enjoyed it more.

RE3 Remake. Nemesis was my favourite RE for years.
Annnnnnd The Callisto Protocol. What a piece of crap.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I know a lot of people like this game, but I found its story boring, the voice acting is terrible, and gameplay is inadequate, it’s mid at best.
Gotham Knights
