Basically every Unranked to GM tutorial/stream is a high elo player smurfing, no? (See: awkward, etc.)

Are we okay with this in the context of educational content?

Personally I don’t think smurfing is a huge huge deal. All these great players start new accounts and within 50 or so games the cream rises to the top and they make it to the high ranks so it’s not like they’re a constant source of nuisance for metal players, but people who do hate it would have a solid argument that these content creators normalize smurfing by publicly practicing it and aren’t punished for it.

    Honestly never was a fan of it. I find it stupid and just ego boosting themselves when you’re better than 99% of the OW population anyway. I think someone mentioned where content creators or top 500s would coach someone from the bottom or wherever they may be and climb up thats better content imo and you would learn alot better since the one being coached is learning and progressing with each game/ coaching session.
