It is what it is. KD has literally been a top 5 player since 2011. Booker has been top 5 maybe once. One mediocre series by KD against Denver doesn’t change that.

I’m not here to bash Booker. Just bringing facts.

Booker is a great scorer. KD is literally one of the top 3 scorers of all time. There are levels to this.

KD literally averages more points per game at a much higher efficiency than Booker. KD shoots a better FG% from 3, from midrange, from the free throw line and at the rim. Literally every spot on the floor KD shoots better. This is an undeniable fact with a 16 years of evidence. And because he can generate more free throws and paint points his scoring will he more consistent.

KD didn’t look like KD against Denver. But it was because he only played 14 games with the Suns and just came back from injury. No way a player can be comfortable in an offense with so little time playing on a team.

KD is also super important for grabbing rebounds. At his best he can easily average 10-12 rebounds in a series. KD is also literally our only big who can switch on smaller players. He is also our best rim protector. Our best mid post player. KD will dish 5-7 assists per game once he knows the system and players.

For much of the regular season you can expect Booker to take the most shots and score the most. KD is 35 and can’t be using all his energy during the regular season. But once we get into the playoffs you will see KD taking over. Its what he does. KD has shared the court with 3 MVP teammates (Curry, Harden, Westbrook). But every time it has been obvious who the top dog was.

Booker is the face of the Suns. But lets not fool ourselves. KD is the most important player for our title hopes
