Mine was on Thanksgiving in 1995 against the Vikings at the Silverdome. The Lions won in a shootout 44 - 38 and had to defend a hail Mary on the last play of the game, Herman Moore was on the field for that play.

I’d won the tickets from Ike Griffith’s show on WDFN 1130 am. Known as the Mega Man, there was a section dedicated to him in the end zone complete with black and red poster cards and t-shirts. It was a great game but a nightmare getting home and setting up Thanksgiving dinner so I said I’d never go on Thanksgiving again and I didn’t…until 2016 when I went to Ford Field and saw wait for it…the Lions beat the Vikings, which was another nail biter!

Anyway, what was yours?

2003 Thanksgiving game. I was about to turn 8, and besides seeing one of the last games at Tiger Stadium, it was my first pro sporting event.

All I remember is people throwing paper airplanes with some random handout everyone got before the game. And they won if I’m remembering correctly.

I’ve been to 15+ the last 20 years (out of state fan) and fingers crossed might be going on Thursday.

    Go Lions baby!!!
