A couple decades ago I lived in CC and had season tickets, so everything about game day was simple - take the BSL down and back.

Now I live much further out, in the suburbs, and am hoping to take my kid to his first game, against the Niners. It sounds like driving to/from and parking at the stadium is an expensive, time-sucking nightmare for those simply looking to park and not tailgate. I’m considering driving to Fern Rock, parking there, and taking the BSL to and from the game. I recall from my city days that coming home on the BSL was really crowded and not always fun, but it worked.

Any reason not to do this?

That can work. You might want to look into picking up the regional rail outside the city and paying a couple extra bucks, transferring at Fern Rock, if you’re concerned about your car during the time you’re there. Buddy of mine parked in Fern Rock and came back to a bullet having gone through his sunroof.

I considered that, especially since we have a regional rail station near us, but if we just miss the train, we will be waiting an hour for the next one. Not sure I want to hang at Fern Rock for an hour on a Sunday night.

I actually park in a lot in center city and then take broad street line. Not as easy as parking in Fern Rock but still avoids getting out of Linc lots.

May I ask where (or approximately where) you park? I was also considering this option, although driving into the city would be much less convenient.
