But then 0.001 seconds after the shot: “His foot was on the line though I think” (and clearly it wasn’t).
This particular guy does it like every single time. I don’t know who he is but he has this dumb habit of trying to put doubt in the viewer’s head immediately after something great happens. I’ve absolutely heard him go “BUT WAS IT A 3!?” in similar situations where it was indisputably a 3. He does it just to be a dick.
Steph could drop a full court shot and this idiot would still be like “bUt WaZ hIs fOoT bEhInD tHe LiNe!?”
Like shut the fuck up and let people enjoy the moment unless you’re 100% sure

Jim Barnett could carry Fitzgerald, but holy shit Azubuike is somehow a worse commentator than he was a player
And in a total twist, one of the best duo in the league are Stu and Bill
idec if he wanted to say he thought it might be a 2 at some point but him saying it directly after the shot sapped all excitement out of it

Homerism is annoying especially with the warriors broadcast. But it is part of sports. Even if they’re teaching a legion of young warrior fans the wrong idea of sportsmanship.
Eventually warriors fans will understand how to deal with losses because their window is closing for good this season

This has happened since the beginning of sports broadcasting. They’re announcing for the fans of the team who just got the shot made against them. What do you expect?
ngl our announcers arent the best, even our fans, myself included get annoyed by them, but honest question why do people watch the warriors broadcast instead of the other teams?
I live in the bay so if they’re on at a bar/resturant and they have the sound playing its ggs for my ears and sanity.
I’ve also noticed that commentators tend to question the calls that are in favor of one of the teams playing the others.
An obvious example is when a team is playing the Lakers. Like, any time a questionable call goes in favor of the other team - the commentators will usually say it’s a bad call. And they won’t even mention the refs calls for the Lakers. It’s like they are trying to give the impression that the refs are calling in favor of the other team…
(And it doesn’t just happen when a team is playing against the Lakers. It’s just whatever team the commentators are obviously rooting for…)
There are a lot of commentators like this. I think they feel that they must be a shill for the team at all times instead of just calling a basketball game, or it could cost them their job or something.
I sincerely miss Jim Barnett because he would have such a neutral stance to whatever play is happening. He would call out mistakes by the warriors and compliment what the opponent would be doing well be it a skill set or move they would do. Really balance out the homerism from fitz.
What do you expect watching home team broadcast lol I’d understand your frustration if it was TNT/ESPN broadcast but you literally linked a Warriors broadcast?
I can 100% admit our commentators aren’t good, but this is a really dumb thing to complain about. Some of y’all take the game too seriously

I don’t think it was that egregious. Wondering if a foot was on the line is a normal thing to consider when a 3 is shot from that area, especially when the guy is 7’3 with massive feet.
