Pepperidge Farm remembers when this dude used to be compared to Devin Booker…
Golden State, Phoenix, Denver have a worse record than what they really are - mostly because players have been out.
OKC, Orlando, and Dallas have a better record than what they’ll end up.
Memphis is obviously a question mark, and though Ja helps talent, I don’t know what he’ll do for chemistry - or if he’ll be a problem again. (Like really; what are the odds he’ll get it this time…)
It’s also different offenses - and a different pace.
First time all season I thought we really looked like a Frank Vogel team.
Scrappy. Getting offensive rebounds. Defense was outstanding for large parts of the game (Nurk especially!) I like the direction.
Arguably our best win of the season. I’d say we were without 3 of our best 4 players - and still won. Role players stepped up incredibly well.
lol, we got Goodwin for Shamet. 😂
You think Denver is losing and not doing stupid things?
Of course they are. This is like people commenting on the Suns and thinking Booker wouldn’t make the team better.
Obviously the Joker is the best player, but they lose outside scoring and playmaking with Murray. Hes a super important player to the team. You take the second best player off of most teams for an extended period - and teams don’t do well.
Book usually isn’t like that. Dude saw Scott Foster and Chris Paul on the other team, and logically decided it was a night to try and shoot free throws.
Starting to wonder if this is why our new players don’t play well at home. 😂
In 2019 you are told that Kawhi, PG13, Harden, and Westbrook will all be on the same team in the near future - what are your assumptions?
Booker saw Foster, saw CP3 on the other team…and made a decision to go after unethical baskets.
Aww, poor Steph thought he had a break from holding people back…
Book just awkwardly watching the whole thing happen is killing me.
We haven’t had a fourth quarter collapse since Booker has been back.
Last night was the second night of a back to back, a blowout, and Frank was messing with lineups.
Relax
This is where the doomers went?
Steve Nash won 2 mvps while navigating a disk injury.
It sucks we don’t have him now. But like everything else, chill.
If we draft Luka, we don’t get CP3 and KD.
I’d rather those two.
Also, it’s a fade away shot. Yes, a player will always be in be in the “regular shot” landing zone of a player shooting a fadeaway. Both players are moving backwards.
I’m sure it feels shitty to lose like that though. Because the refs gave hope - then took it away. But it was a bad initial call.
I’ve also noticed that commentators tend to question the calls that are in favor of one of the teams playing the others.
An obvious example is when a team is playing the Lakers. Like, any time a questionable call goes in favor of the other team - the commentators will usually say it’s a bad call. And they won’t even mention the refs calls for the Lakers. It’s like they are trying to give the impression that the refs are calling in favor of the other team…
(And it doesn’t just happen when a team is playing against the Lakers. It’s just whatever team the commentators are obviously rooting for…)
Clarkson was phenomenal too. I wasn’t even mad at Phoenix’s defense most of the time, he was just making difficult shots. I was impressed with the backcourt.
Also, can we talk about how Booker had 15 assists and 1 turnovers. 1. Last game he had 2.
Turnovers were even a problem for him at the beginning of the year, but he saw that it was a problem for us, and is concentrating on it.
How does he just keep getting better?
Booker and KD are going to prevent each other from getting it.
Tbh I don’t even care, I just want Book to be good for Tuesday.
