  • Golden State, Phoenix, Denver have a worse record than what they really are - mostly because players have been out.

OKC, Orlando, and Dallas have a better record than what they’ll end up.

Memphis is obviously a question mark, and though Ja helps talent, I don’t know what he’ll do for chemistry - or if he’ll be a problem again. (Like really; what are the odds he’ll get it this time…)

  • Of course they are. This is like people commenting on the Suns and thinking Booker wouldn’t make the team better.

Obviously the Joker is the best player, but they lose outside scoring and playmaking with Murray. Hes a super important player to the team. You take the second best player off of most teams for an extended period - and teams don’t do well.

  • Also, it’s a fade away shot. Yes, a player will always be in be in the “regular shot” landing zone of a player shooting a fadeaway. Both players are moving backwards.

I’m sure it feels shitty to lose like that though. Because the refs gave hope - then took it away. But it was a bad initial call.

  • I’ve also noticed that commentators tend to question the calls that are in favor of one of the teams playing the others.

An obvious example is when a team is playing the Lakers. Like, any time a questionable call goes in favor of the other team - the commentators will usually say it’s a bad call. And they won’t even mention the refs calls for the Lakers. It’s like they are trying to give the impression that the refs are calling in favor of the other team…

(And it doesn’t just happen when a team is playing against the Lakers. It’s just whatever team the commentators are obviously rooting for…)
