Feel for Sinner, but jfc Novak was on an insane level in the first set and a half. Both lost focus after that but Novak held on. I was scared before the match but thanks Nole, some of us needed this after Aussies utterly destroyed us in the WC final just hours ago.

It was irritating to see Sinner make one UF after another in his serve. so simple winners but he hit them close outside the line lol.

It was a bit much to ask Sinner to beat a beast like Djokovic twice in a row (home crowd notwithstanding).

Still, Sinner had a fantastic year with 4 titles (Masters 1000 win inclusive) and a best ranking #4). Absent injury, this 22 year old will very much be a force in 2024.

Why does Novak hate kids so much? He doesn’t let them play, what did they do to him?

Fun fact: In all his 9 final appearances at the tournament Djokovic is yet to play a deciding set.
