Oh no, I didn’t mean that way. But usually the name marathon is being understood as basically any long distance race by most people I encounter lol

Wow, that is very fascinating, many thanks for the write-up.
I don’t mind this post, but Daily Mail has reading comprehension of a rock and they will probably ignore the hypothetical part of this post and use it as a source instead lol.
They recently ran a hate campaign against bcci/indian cricket team accusing them of cheating, abusing ppower and pitch doctoring lmao
No, don’t be lazy 😬
I had heard of him before while discussing dominant athletes, but I don’t really follow sumo to understand what means what haha.
Yeah, it would be a pr clusterfuck alright. Novak, or anyone as popular as him in other sports being involved in such a thing would horribly tarnish the sport.
When I was young, even in my relatively lower tier Indian city we’d heard about cycling as a sport, Lance and what a great winner he was when he dominated that france event. After him being busted we have barely heard anything about the sport or event at all. Apparently other cyclists were also doping along with him and that ruined the image of the sport even further. Has the popularity of the sport/event been the same in your experience?
Why? OP isn’t coming to any conclusion whatsoever and has already clarified they are a big fan of Novak. So am I.
This is a legitimate post that talks about the potential impact of something like that on the athlete as well as the sport they are the greatest of. I see no harm in discussing subjects we may not like to hear about.
Yeah, he’s my 2nd fav after Hidayat, but him not winning a single gold in world championships, asian games and the olympics will always haunt.
biggest titles
I still can’t forget 2016 Olympics finals. I was rooting for LCW so hard 🤧
They said Messi was more dominant in his 20s, basically you’re both in agreement.
Which important records exactly are Dan and Long lagging? I don’t think LCW or Waldner has any important record over them.
Eliud Kipchoge deserves a mention in these conversations too. Dude set the world record for Marathon a week away from his 38th birthday. And it wasn’t some fake 10km 5km ‘marathon’ like most people would think 😆, it was 42.195km marathon.
Both you and u/imdx_14 are clowns with your ridiculous allegations, especially melony. Don’t spread this bullshit here.
Before coming to this conclusion do we know other tennis players that have been asked for tests 1.5 hour before match and complying ? Not trying to defend or criticize Novak or Wada here, just trying to get some information.
I remember hearing about these frequent surprise tests for the first time in Break Point during an Ajla episode.
It honestly depends on who you ask, for me right now it’s closer to masters than to Slams.
Olympics itself is a huge event, it’s near pinnacle in badminton, table tennis, shooting events, swimming but a joke in football world because of the under age 23 rule. In tennis, it was a 750 event according to atp and now it’s 0 point. But ask someone like Novak and he’ll say it’s the equivalent of Grand Slam. I personally love the olympics and its rising importance, I think it’s important for the sport of tennis to grow. Hopefully atp awards points for it soon too, don’t know why they stopped it.
You are absolutely right, Sinner will be way better prepared for his next clash with Novak. Sunday, I think Sinner was not 100% physically, and Novak was just playing on an insane level in the 1st set and a half. He was hammering forehands, returning and serving great that put tremendous pressure on Sinner. This are some seriously great times to follow tennis as a fan but eh, social media, what can you even do about it :(
There’s none, genuinely. Unless other bring the same kind of feelings that I did when Novak was the one trailing in stats in 2015. No need to make these pointless posts anymore. Enjoy the tennis.
Feel for Sinner, but jfc Novak was on an insane level in the first set and a half. Both lost focus after that but Novak held on. I was scared before the match but thanks Nole, some of us needed this after Aussies utterly destroyed us in the WC final just hours ago.
The other time Nishikori beat Novak was in 2011 Basel, their h2h is 18-2.
