It’s the exact same shit, year after year. And more and more as time goes on I keep finding myself asking why should I support a team that’s not willing to make any change? A team that doesn’t really give me any incentive to root for them?

I’ve been a fan for a long part of my life. I’ve invested a ton of time and money in being a fan…I have like 9 or 10 different jerseys, dozens of shirts and hats of my own plus all the shit I’ve bought my family, a section of my office is dedicated to Chargers memorabilia, and I even have a Bolts tattoo for fucks sake. Not to mention the costs of going to games or paying to be able to watch them on TV.

But then I just don’t know where else I’d look. How do you pick someone new to support? I LOVE the sport though honestly hockey has become my primary…but I do still love watching football. I enjoy watching KC and Mahomes but that feels like bandwagoning. I live in Vegas but I just can’t bring myself to do that (though I do respect the fact that they’ve been showing some balls and have been actually making big changes, plus I really do like Crosby and how he’s so open to talk about his former problems with addiction and stuff…but still…it’s the Raiders.) My favorite sandwich comes from Philly? I still feel like my heart is in the PNW where I grew up and I love the city of Seattle? I just can’t do the Donkeys…I dislike them more than the Raiders I think. I don’t look good in any versions of teal or orange so that removes a lot of teams lol.

Sorry for ranting fellow Bolt fam. I’m just kinda feeling like something’s got to give. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Root for the players not the coaching. These guys are trying their best

I’ve been with the chargers since 92. Same for my older bro. He jump shipped when they left SD and he cheers for SF now. I wish I followed suit but still hate SF for that SB beatdown.

I have seen just about everything and have become so apathetic I really don’t care that much anymore. Basically missed the whole 2nd half of the game but saw the 3rd and 20 penalty and the end result in the box score. Glad I didn’t watch another meltdown.

Been a fan of this team since 2005 and I don’t think I can do it anymore.

    It’s fucking exhausting

I don’t think anyone would blame you if you follow another team while Telesco and Staley get shown the door out, but you’ll have to spend some serious doe on Bolts merchandise as penance when you decide to come back.

Because we all know you’ll come back.

If any if us were fans because of the Chargers being successful…none of us would be here. Im a fan for life, but i know this is my team that sucks balls and most likely always will.

Totally get it even though people act like we are not real fans if we don’t suffer for ANOTHER twenty years. I’m thinking I’ll find a second team and I’ll gladly be called a bandwagon fan if the chargers get their shit together. I’ll come back. But Spanos doesn’t deserve my money or my loyalty and I love the players but they wouldn’t recognize me on the street. That’s the reality. In the meantime only watching replays helps. Live games create unnecessary downs I and my family don’t need.
