So, last night I hit a curb; and my two right tires popped on the sidewall (f*** me for not getting the warranty certificates two months ago.) The rear rim looks alright, tho I’ll have to have Discount Tire confirm for me. However, the one in the front was badly bent to the point I’m 99% sure it’s ruined.

My question is: would it be ok if I buy ONE aftermarket rim of the same size as my stock wheels and use it for a while until I’m able to upgrade the rest? My car came w 16 alloy wheels so I was planning to buy a decent looking aftermarket wheel ~$120 + buncha install fees and kit etc =~$200, along with two of my car’s standard sized tires.

Would this be enough to get me going, or do I really need to match exact wheels per axle? Buying two alloy wheels is more than I am currently able to spend so I’d end up having to buy two of the crappy steel wheels which still end up nearly $130 each w the add-on costs, which I feel like would be a huge waste… I did kinda want to end up w 4 nice aftermarket wheels at some point, so if the 1 will hold me over until then I’d much rather go that route.

Thank you for any advice!

Go to a junk yard and get a new rim for $50. Might get lucky and it have a good tire on it you never know.

Then after you’ve decided you’re done hitting potholes and the like and destroying rims, then buy a new set of wheels.
