You know I heard a former Steelers tight end recently talk about how the playbook lacks the “why” of certain play designs that other coordinators include in their playbooks. I wonder if including the “why” would help all the players get on the same page. If they all know the idea behind calling whatever play was called maybe they would execute it better. That does, however, give credit to Canada having any idea what plays need to be called, but still.
