I guess when you start out 1-4, and you’re trying to envision a path to the playoffs (because lord knows they’re not tanking) you don’t have much room for error, so every loss is going to feel twice as painful because we can’t really afford any.
Mix that in with now seeing how this group, the QB in particular responds after a loss. We all knew a loss was coming soon, it happened, now does the magic carpet ride end here? Are we stuck back at a possibility where Josh Dobbs is back down to earth a little bit after a three turnover game? I feel like we had an opportunity to ride a wave of momentum, we rode it, the wave crashed. Is there another wave or was that the only one of the season?
Im not feeling that discouraged after this week tbh. Turnovers killed us.
Before the season started I had us going 2-6 the first 8 games and 6-3 over the last 9. Kirk played MVP level the first 8 going 4-4. On paper we should have finished 10-7 with Kirk. The Broncos game should have been a win. It’s concerning we’re not learning from our mistakes. Mattison should not be starting. Just make him the 3rd down RB for pass protection. JJ can’t get back here fast enough.
