Like everyone else, I’m fucking bummed that we lost the most winnable game yet. It was there for the taking; Denver could only get FIELDS GOALS — and we did it again:
Mattison: Dude, every time. It’s just a disappointment. He’s out there tying people’s shoes or fumbling or dropping big passes. It’s tough to keep rooting for the guy when he keeps COLLAPSING during redeeming moments.
KOC/Dobbs: This was a “No Brainer” game. Denver can’t score and we need to PUT THIS AWAY early. Instead, we RAN AN OPTION, LET MATTISON TIE SHOES, AND TOOK NO BIG SHOTS DOWNFIELD. IF WE’RE GOING TO TURN IT OVER THREE TIMES AT LEAST TAKE A SHOT.
Ty Chandler: Loved seeing him play tonight. You can say he isn’t as good a pass blocker as Mattison, but he picked up the blitzing man. IMO, we need to get the ball out of Dobb’s hand a little quicker most plays, so I’m not so worried if Ty can holder blocks for that long. His job is to hold the line, not pancake a linebacker.
Hock dropping those balls late (I know they were tough) hurt too. So many “Why are we in the situation to keep repeating this mistakes” moments.
Still hopeful, but we have to get out of our fucking way.
KOC is playing too conservative and it leaves us no room for error, which makes us play even MORE conservative — and we try things like protecting 10-point leads… this makes our offense SO predictable.
KEEP SCORING. Fuck the 10 point lead. We need to play to win.
When that option didn’t work and we fumbled, I think that spooked KOC. He was scared for the game and Dobbs health, but we still need to go out there and FIGHT ALL GAME. FUCK!
Im sorry, I love Dobbs but there is clearly a deeper issue here with him passing deep. It feels like Dobbs can’t throw to NFL open players. He either throws a sketchy ball or it’s to a wide open guy. Where is the deeper ball? You have some premium weapons and it’s never deeper than 20 yards.
