I’m so happy for Demeco and the Texans. I wish them nothing but the best. Really looks like he has a great group of guys there that will be contenders quicker than anyone probably thought
I was absolutely losing my mind on that Aiyuk play! My wife got so scared because I was screaming the way I was lol. If the latter parts didn’t almost give me a heart attack this wouldn’t been my 2nd favorite game of the season. Behind the thumping of the Cowboys.
KS play calling in the 4th quarter was ass. Mitchell had nice carries and Mason had been shown to be a good RB. They were still running up the middle with CMC with no chance to get any yardage. The offense kept going 3 and out and giving no rest to the defense. How is KS a genius but has to rely on the defense to win the game? Shouldn’t he be making the offense take over the 4th quarter and keep getting first downs instead of playing prevent and allowing the other team to get back into it. That’s why he can’t win comebacks he only knows how to play not to lose I feel like.
What play calls would you have liked to see in the 4th up 2 scores? Should he have aired it out and been more aggressive? What happens if that aggression leads to a turnover? Would you then say he should have ran the ball more? We won the game and if it had been a one score game I bet the play calling would have been more aggressive.
Should he have aired it out
I honestly think KS knew Purdy would lose the perfect rating on his next pass attempt and that’s why we didn’t throw a single more pass. Easy to do when you’re up like we were, but going forwards we’re going to need to play the pass game to keep teams off balance in the 4th quarter
Two consecutive weeks of Purdy dropping an absolute dime on a 9 route for a long TD.
how great has purdy been the last two weeks … saw this on CBS
since the 1970 merger between the NFL and AFL on a minimum of 40 pass attempts during a 2 game sample size
purdy combined 157.3 QB rating vs the jags & bucs ranks #1 all time now
here’s the list :
purdy (2023) - 157.3
foles (2013) - 155.3
warner (1999) - 155.3
young (1997) - 155.2
roethlisberger (2006) - 154.6
Damn. Harvesting crops in Iowa flipped a switch…this is QB insanity
but yet espn is raving about cj stroud on his rookie year. meh . keep it up brock
49ers QB Brock Purdy on throws of 20+ air yards this season:
19-of-30 - 63.3% (1st in the NFL, only CJ Stroud is within 5%)
633 yards (3rd)
21.1 yards/attempt (2nd)
4 TDs (T-9th) 23.3% off target percentage (lowest in NFL)
13.2% CPOE (6th)
again for those critics that think that all he’s doing is just being just a dink or dunk system QB or doesn’t throw the football deep well or at all
The crazy thing about Purdy is his efficiency. All these guys are throwing 35+ times to get to 300 yrds… Purdy’s doing it on 25. Crazy stuff 9.7 YPA is crazy
