Next 10 games: (bold = home)

    Cavs

    Timberwolves

    Thunder

    Lakers

    Pelicans

    Celtics

    Wizards

    Pistons

    Pistons

    Hornets

Wolves, Thunder, Lakers, Celtics are all playing really good basketball right now. Wolves and Thunder especially are dangerous teams (wolves at number 1 seed in west with Ant looking like he’s turned another corner to level up) and Thunder getting to really see the full potential of that roster.

I’d be happy if we split those 4 games, obviously preferring a win over the celtics.

Of the other 6 matchups, Pelicans, Pistons, Wizards, and Hornets should be wins. That’s 5 wins. Cavs have the highest upside of that bunch, but i still think that’s a win.

6-4 is acceptable over that stretch. Would get us to 15-7.

7-3 would be a great 10 games for us. 16-6

8-2 or more would start to turn heads for the sixers. coming out of this 10 game stretch at 17-5 or more would be outstanding.

There’s a universe where we go 5-5 in that stretch but i don’t want to entertain this morning.

Embiid is averaging a career high 6.2 assists per game. His previous high was set the last 2 seasons at 4.2 assists per game.

You can see this playing out in game as Nurse is really leaning into having the offense flow through embiid from in and around the free throw line. This is taking shape in a couple different ways. Give and go with guards/wing shooters (maxey, melton, batum, oubre before he was out), but also by having embiid find wings cutting to the basket.

Really crazy to see how different an offense looks under a competent head coach.

We’re currently the #1 offense in the league. Not sure why everyone is so sure we need more offense so badly.

How great would it be if the Sixers could use their two max slots on Maxey and Markkanan

Was just browsing Spurs’ sub. Looks like they are opened to move Keldon Johnson if the price is right (Zach Lowe also mentioned that teams are monitoring his availability).

The more I look at Johnson’s game, the more I think he should be our target, IF he becomes availbale.

Sixers are looking good. Embiid is playing at incredibly high level and Maxey has taken a big leap.

But you know the next time we lose (spoiler: we are not going to have 79-3 record), you will see: “this team is fraud” “you can’t win with Embiid”, “Embiid needs to lose 50lb”, “he wasn’t smiling. Loser energy/mopey bum” “trade him, because I prefer to root for a team that struggle to get into playin!”

Objectively, this team is better than last year’s team. Getting rid of a slow and inefficient Harden, makes us so much better. We do not rely as heavily on Embiid driving through opponents while everyone else stands around.

I feel like Nurse’s offensive schemes give Embiid a better chance not to get injured. Having people moving and kick out or cutting options will be super beneficial as Embiid gets hacked/tripled in the paint. The Harden/Embiid pnr with Doc would basically force Embiid to get constantly banged up and he would have no clear paths around him to pass out. Embiid would get a lot more rest with Docs offense because Harden would just dribble for 17 seconds before Embiid had to move, so proper conditioning right now is something that is very important so he doesn’t get gassed when he has to play 40 mins a game.
